Job Description & Qualifications
Job Summary
Leads scope-to-implementation activities for data-related process and technology projects that enhance data management, institutionalize data governance, and improve the fitness for use of enterprise data.
Major Tasks, Responsibilities and Key Accountabilities
Leads and supports a cross-functional team during project execution. Coordinates with IT project managers to keep projects focused on remedying business issues. Ensures adherence to budgets and timelines.
Partners with Data Governance, Data Management, IT, and data consumer groups to identify and prioritize opportunities to improve processes, technologies, and tools that drive fitness for use of enterprise data solutions. Works closely with functional user groups to identify sustainable process changes, tools, and system enhancements to address underlying root cause issues.
Develops team consensus around project objectives, scope and approach, and documents in a project charter. Coordinates with project stakeholders to develop a business case for obtaining project funding. Leverages industry and business best practices and benchmarks.
Verifies all path to value implementation activities are properly sequenced and coordinated to maximize impact, including technical enhancements, process improvements, associate training, and data remediation.
Provides periodic project status updates to stakeholders. Verifies successful project implementation with quantitative data and qualitative stakeholder feedback.
Serves as a subject matter expert on existing tools. Assesses current usage of tools and identifies process improvements and ways to use data tools more efficiently to meet business needs.
Provides expertise on technical trends in data governance and data management.

Work Environment
Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.
Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.
Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time.
Education and Experience
- Typically requires BS/BA in a related discipline. Generally 8+ years of experience in a related field OR MS/MA and generally 5+ years of experience in a related field. Certification is required in some areas.
